SAVANNAH BLUE has been a popular fixture on the Northern California blues and rock club scene for many years. They are now poised to take the band to a higher level as SAVANNA BLUE A SOUTHERN ROCK REVUE.
Dean Fisher (Lead guitar), Tom Scoles (Lead Vocals, Harmonica), Mike Cochran (Bass) and Johnny Milazzo (Drums) formed Savannah Blue in 1995. Keyboardist, lead vocalist Tommy King and Scott Johnson (Lead guitar, Vocals) recently joined the band in a move designed to make the (now) six piece group a Southern Rock show band.
Not content to play only the music of Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers, SAVANNAH BLUE is presenting music from the entire genre. Expect to hear great Southern Rock Classics like "Keep On Smilin," "If You Want To Get To Heaven" or "The South's Gonna Do It Again," along with perennial Allman & Skynyrd favorites.
Others of the Southern genre, like The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band and Molly Hatchet are represented with their most popular material. Additionally, Southern icons such as 38 Special, The Charlie Daniels Band and ZZ Top are featured in the brand new SAVANNAH BLUE repertoire!
The result is a power-packed, highly-charged "tour d' force" of the best that those “good old Southern boys” ever served up. Hit after hit, SAVANNAH BLUE turns out ballads and rockers alike, faithfully reproducing the sound, the spirit and the intensity of the original artist’s recordings.
The band has shared concert stages with Joe Bonnamassa, Elvin Bishop, Jackie Green, Greg Allman, Joan Jett and Molly Hatchet and others. Ever popular with the motorcycle crowd, SAVANNAH BLUE has played numerous poker runs and biker events like The Redwood Run. They have played Northern California's better clubs, private and charity events and have built a strong, loyal fan base.
The new show, SAVANNAH BLUE: A SOUTHERN ROCK REVUE hits the touring trail in January of 2009 and the show is sure to widen and expand their fan base. Get down and party with the all-new SAVANNAH BLUE: A SOUTHERN ROCK REVUE!
